Terms

This text is still Booth’s and talks about translation. It will be rewritten for MeetScribe before launch: meetings are recorded on your device and never reach our server.

Draft. Fill in the operator’s details in the server settings before opening the service to the public.

MeetScribe is an early version of a live video translator, run by a sole proprietorship in Poland (details). By using it you agree to these terms.

• Minutes. Translation is paid from prepaid time on your balance, at one price for subtitles and the AI voice (see pricing). It is counted by the sound actually translated; pauses and waiting for sound are not counted. Free minutes are a one-time gift per person. Bought time doesn’t expire while your account is open and isn’t refundable, except where the law says otherwise.
• Your content. Translate only videos and streams you may use this way, and don’t use MeetScribe for anything unlawful. When you translate a call or a meeting, the other participants’ voices go to the translator too: make sure that is acceptable to them. Everything you export is yours.
• Quality. The translation is made by AI in real time and can be wrong or late. Check it before you publish anything that matters.
• Availability. This is an early version: it may change, pause or stop. If we close the service, we refund unused paid minutes. One run lasts at most .
• Accounts. One person per account; keep your password to yourself. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, for example by farming free minutes.
• Open-source software. MeetScribe is built with open-source components, used under their licenses: hls.js (Apache 2.0), ffmpeg.wasm (MIT; its FFmpeg core, GPL 2.0 or later, is downloaded from jsDelivr only when you export a file — source code), the fonts Figtree, Bricolage Grotesque, JetBrains Mono and Caveat (SIL Open Font License 1.1), the circle-flags icons (MIT) through Iconify, and on the server FastAPI, Uvicorn, websockets, HTTPX, argon2-cffi and libopus (MIT/BSD). The license texts are kept next to the files: fonts, hls.js, ffmpeg.wasm.
• Liability. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
